Elder Hedin!

I am doing fantastic here in Mexico and I am enjoying every minute of it. I think the last time I wrote I was in a pueblito called Tamazunchale but now I am in the city of Valles which is a lot nicer than Tamazunchale, I had one change with my "dad" there and one change with my "step dad" and then I changed here to Valles with my "step son" so for the last 2 changes I have been training him and it has been sweet. The Lord is blessing us everyday and we are working hard, I can honestly say that i feel the same way as Elder Holland when he said "My Mission ment EVERYTHING to me!!!".

TAMAZUNCHALE, MEXICO?

     How's it going? So guess what? I'm in MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been here for 2.5 weeks sorry I haven't written yet but I'm really strapped for time here. I'm in a town called TAMAZUNCHALE and it is a very humble town but I love it haha. Spanish is coming slowly but surely and only with the help of the Savior.

We have a very small branch here of like 30 and like 19 or 20 activos it is not like everyone thinks Mexico is. Everyone here is stauch catholic and we will be lucky to get a couple baptizms here in the next couple months. Sorry I don't have any pics my camera sorta broke but I'm working on it pronto haha.

My comp Elder De La Fuente is a native Mexican that doesn't speak a lick of english so it is kinda hard to communicate but he's teaching me spanish and I'm teaching him english. So far I have taught him 'knawm sayn' which is slang for 'do you know what im saying', 'i hate my life', 'dont drop', and 'good morning bishop how are you today' hahaha!

well i gotta go
te amo mucho

On to Tampico... Hopefully!

{Here is Elder Hedin's first update!}

I can't e-mail pics or even get on the blog here in the MTC but hopefully if I get my visa I'll be in Tampico on Monday! Yeah I know how Bud feels I wasn't able to go to the temple for my first like 4 weeks because it was closed and now that we're going weekly I can really see a huge difference in the spirit that I have during the week and it's an awesome experience, and since I'm the district leader I get to choose if we do a session or initiatories or a sealing session so I made my district do a sealing session last week and it was their first time so they were a little nervous but I told them it was great and we ended up having a really spiritual experience. and there is a Temple in Tampico but I don't know how often I will be able to attend. Well i'm out of time but thanks for everything! ...I will see you in 2!
(I'm really glad you set up the blog and I can't wait to be able to get on!!)
